An original play by Brian Dang exploring identity, visibility, and performance through a trans-centric lens. HK traverses genres of murder-noir, family drama, and cowboy romance while wearing an altered Hello Kitty mascot costume. As others insist on defining HK, the piece questions how far one's own identity extends and lets the audience decide how the play ends. Directed by SFSU students Quinn Gilchrist and Grim, produced by SF State REP, a student theatre collective.
