The annual Smuin Gala celebrated its 31st season in support of Smuin Contemporary Ballet, marking the inaugural season of Artistic Director Amy Seiwert. The event, hosted at The Galleria at San Francisco Design Center, featured performances showcasing the company's versatility, including works by Michael Smuin and new pieces from Amy Seiwert and other choreographers like Tessa Barbour and Brennan Wall. The gala raised $450,000 to fund innovative productions, with a lively auction hosted by Stefanie Resnick featuring unique items and experiences. Esteemed guests, including former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown and State Senator Scott Wiener, attended to support the continued evolution and artistry of the company.
