Program 3: Gallery of Dreams features American pianist George Li, a Silver Medalist at the International Tchaikovsky Competition, performing at the Visual and Performing Arts Center at De Anza College. His program moves from the introspective lyricism of Schumann's Abegg Variations and Davidsbündlertänze through the shimmering colors of Debussy's Images, Book 1, culminating in Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. The New York Times has praised Li's playing as "a bracing, fearless account...combining youthful abandon with utter command."
