Program 1: Worlds Away features pianist Angel Stanislav Wang, who has earned top prizes at the Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff competitions and is one of the youngest finalists in Van Cliburn history. At 23, he has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Musikverein, building a global following with performances that balance sensitivity and power. His Cupertino recital presents a range of repertoire spanning Liszt's Sonata in B Minor, Debussy's Estampes, and Stravinsky's Three Movements from Petrushka, along with a work by Granados.
