ODC/Dance's annual Summer Sampler features two world premieres and a revival, presented in ODC's intimate, historic theater in San Francisco's Mission District. The program includes a new untitled work by ODC Co-Artistic Director Mia J. Chong, a joint collaboration between dancers from ODC/Dance and Chong's company EIGHT/MOVES, with live music by composer and saxophonist Raffi Garabedian. Also on the program is UNRELIABLE NARRATOR, a new work by guest choreographer Catherine Galasso combining documentary theater with contemporary dance, featuring ODC pioneers Brenda Way, Kimi Okada and KT Nelson as both dancers and subjects. Rounding out the program is the revival of KT Nelson's Izzie award-nominated Nothing's Gonna Make Sense (Reflections on Grief), the choreographer's response to the sudden death of her husband in 2023.
