Step into a riotous royal romp with Once Upon A Mattress, the laugh-out-loud musical comedy that tells the story behind the classic fairy tale The Princess and the Pea! Watch fiery swamp princess Winnifred the Woebegone take on the impossibly picky Queen Aggravain in a battle for the hand of Prince Dauntless the Drab with wit, charm, and uproarious songs — including the tuneful crowd-favorite “Shy.” Brimming with vibrant characters, clever humor, and heart-melting romance, this Tony-nominated classic has delighted audiences for decades.
This production celebrates a show made famous by Carol Burnett and written by Mary Rodgers — Broadway royalty as the daughter of Richard Rodgers. Whether you’re a lifelong musical fan or bringing the whole family for a night out, Once Upon A Mattress promises joyful fun from curtain up to curtain call.
Music by Mary Rodgers Lyrics by Marshall Barer Book by Jay Thompson, Dean Fuller, and Marshall Barer
