Ensemble for These Times will launch its 2024/25 season with "In Motion" on November 8, 2024, at Old First Concerts in San Francisco. The concert features world premieres by emerging composers Ursula Kwong-Brown, Darian Donovan Thomas, and Mary Bianco, alongside works by Benjamin Britten and York Bowen. The performance will include notable guest artists such as oboist Laura Reynolds, violinist Lylia Guion, and cellist Megan Chartier, all joining pianist Margaret Halbig. This event embodies a thematic focus on kinesis and movement, showcasing innovative contemporary classical music.
