Arab Spring, a dark comedy by Denmo Ibrahim, receives its world premiere in a co-production from Golden Thread Productions and SFBATCO. The play follows two second-generation siblings — Yusef, a recovering addict played by Salim Razawi, and his controlling big sister Dina, played by Arti Ishak — as they return to the suburbs on the 4th of July to plan an Islamic funeral for their estranged father. As they race to complete the burial before his body goes cold, they are forced to reckon with what family truly means. The production is directed by Nailah Unole didanas'ea Harper-Malveaux and runs June 19 through July 12, 2026 at Potrero Stage.
