Coronado Playhouse announces auditions for A Chorus Line, August 28-29.
Centered on seventeen Broadway dancers auditioning for spots on a chorus line, A Chorus Line is set on the bare stage of a Broadway theatre during an audition for a musical. The musical provides a glimpse into the personalities of the performers and the choreographer as they describe the events that have shaped their lives and their decisions to become dancers. Received The Pulitzer Prize for Drama and 9 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Book, and Score.
Directed by Thomas Fitzpatrick, Musical Direction Kirk Valles, Choreographed by Jennie Gray Connard).
To Reserve Your Audition Time:
E-mail audition@coronadoplayhouse.com with your name and telephone number and picture/resume attached (if available). Please put “CHORUS” in subject when E-mailing. Please include all roles you are interested in, including if you will take a role as a cut dancer. Appointments will be scheduled in five-minute increments.
Where:
TBD – You will be informed of audition location after you have scheduled your appointment.
Audition Details:
For all roles: Prepare a one minute song that best shows your vocal range. Bring sheet music in correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Please no a cappella.
Bring a photo/headshot and resume (if available) even if you e-mailed it prior.
Bring your calendar through Dec 11th, 2016; all conflicts will be required to be listed on audition form. Rehearsals will begin early September.
