The Old Globe welcomes the Arena Stage production of Pulitzer Prize winner Lawrence Wright's thrilling new play CAMP DAVID, directed by Arena Stage's artistic director, Molly Smith. The West Coast premiere of CAMP DAVID will play now through June 19, 2016 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Opening night is tomorrow, May 20, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
San Diego High School Selected to Present the Regional World Premiere of PROSPECT HIGH: BROOKLYN

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) and Education at Roundabout (Jennifer DiBella, Director of Education) are pleased to announce that San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts in San Diego, CA will present the regional premiere of PROSPECT HIGH: BROOKLYN. Written by Daniel Robert Sullivan and a team of New York City teenagers, Prospect High: Brooklyn was developed in partnership with Education at Roundabout and the Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships. The play will have its world premiere in 23 high school productions across the country, September 2015 - May 2016. The high school will present the play at 2:30 PM on May 19th, and at 7:00 PM on May 19th, 20th, and 21st at the Ole Kittleson Little Theatre, located at 2425 Dusk Dr., San Diego, CA 92139. Tickets are $8.00-10.00 and may be purchased on the school's website. Call 619-470-0555 for more information.

Enrollment Now Open for Actors Alliance of San Diego's 2016 Emerging Artist Program

Enrollment is now open for Actors Alliance of San Diego's 2016 Summer Emerging Artist Program for young artist ages 12-19. The three-week full-day program features master classes with professional theater artists, monologue and song preparation, head shots, and rehearsals that culminate in four studio performances of either the musical Cry Baby!, Wonderland High!, or Zombie Prom at Coronado School for the Arts and runs July 25 - August 14, 2016.
The Old Globe to Offer Free Screening of THE CITIZEN, Starring Khaled Nabawy

In conjunction with the West Coast premiere of Camp David, The Old Globe will hold a free screening of the film The Citizen Egyptian film star and political activist Khaled Nabawy, who stars as Anwar Sadat in the Globe's production of Camp David. The film, which explores the search for the American Dream within the American reality, will screen on Monday, May 23, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. in the Globe's Hattox Hall. KPBS Arts & Culture Reporter and Cinema Junkie Beth Accomando will introduce the film and moderate a short Q&A discussion with Nabawy immediately after. Grammy-nominated Jazz recording artist Sacha Boutros returns to Martinis Above Fourth with her popular show, Sacha Sings Streisand. Sacha created the show in 2014 because she always wanted to pay tribute to her longtime idol, Barbra Streisand. That show provided the opportunity to do just that and the audience loved every minute of it!
