Permafrost Theatre Collective will present a one-night staged reading of Zig-Zag by Philip Catherwood. The reading will be presented as part of PTC's ongoing Icebreaker Reading Series at Pearl Studios (500 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10018) on Wednesday, May 14 at 6pm (doors open 5:30).

Author Doris Gooch's life has not always been as straight and smooth as a highway; there have been plenty of curves and zigzags along the way. Her new book, 'The Zigzag Road' (published by Trafford Publishing), transforms her feelings about life into a long-form poem.

'The Festival has been making people think, laugh, feel, love, and dream for a quarter of a century,' says Artistic Director Amy Geller. 'I am so proud and honored to be part of this rich cultural legacy.' This year, there are 46 films from 13 countries including Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and the Netherlands, and, of course, many from Israel and the U.S.; 40 films are Boston area premieres.
