Summer Stages: BWW's Top Summer Theatre Picks - Salt Lake City!
1. RAGTIME at Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley City, June 5 to July 27, www.halecentretheatre.org
One of the greatest musicals of all time will receive a sumptuous production with two casts filled to the brim with some of the best of Utah's theatre talent. It has the potential to be the greatest Utah production of the year.
2. DISNEY's MULAN at Tuacahn in Ivins, June 4 to October 19, www.tuacahn.org
Normally only licensed as a Jr. show, Tuacahn is presenting a rare professional production of the stirring musical, which includes additional music by Stephen Schwartz and Jeanine Tesori.
3. PETER AND THE STARCATCHER at the Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City, June 25 to October 18, www.bard.org.
The first-ever regional production of the hit Broadway play that won 5 Tony awards last year.
4. CAROUSEL produced by Utah Repertory Theater at the Murray Theater in Murray, August 9 to 24, www.utahrep.org.
A classic not often produced in Utah, presented by the most exciting up-and-coming theatre company in the state.
5. DISNEY'S TARZAN at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre in Orem, June 6 to 22, www.scera.org.
