Penguin Rep Theatre presents the world premiere of The Steel Man, a new play by Cary Gitter, directed by Joe Brancato. Set in 1980s Pittsburgh, the drama follows Jake Gellert, an aspiring actor seeking to break free from the looming shadow of his father, Leo, a Hungarian Jewish immigrant. The cast features Sam Guncler as Leo, Amanda Kristin Nichols as Christine Sommers, and Leighton Samuels as Jake Gellert. The production runs from September 6 to September 29, closing Penguin Rep's 46th season.
