The Secret Garden at Irvington Theater

Broadway Training Center (BTC) has been creating theater non-stop and nurturing a sense of community for 34 years, nestled in the historic village of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The nationally awarded youth theater group is delighted to bring The Secret Garden  to the Irvington Theater this November! Based on the 1911 book by the same name, this musical is bound to leave audiences feeling uplifted and inspired. The show will feature the school's prestigious Fall Combined Ensemble Program, which is directed by BTC’s Artistic Directors of over 20 years, Jason Brantman and Fiona Santos. Twenty years ago Jason and Fiona directed BTC’s original production of The Secret Garden also at Irvington Theater. This revival is a full circle moment for Broadway Training Center, its students, and dedicated alumni community!

The original Broadway production of The Secret Garden opened in 1991, featuring music by Lucy Simon and a Tony Award–winning book and lyrics by Marsha Norman. It was praised for its lush score, rich storytelling, and visual beauty, winning two additional Tony Awards in Best Book of a Musical and Best Performance of a Featured Actress in a Musical categories. Over the years, the show has been reimagined in numerous revivals and adaptations, including multiple movies and made for TV productions, introducing new generations to its enduring themes.
