Broadway Training Center (BTC) has been creating theater non-stop and nurturing a sense of community for 34 years, nestled in the historic village of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The nationally awarded youth theater group is delighted to bring Between the Lines, Jr. to the Irvington Theater this May! Based on the book by New York Times bestselling author Jodi Picoult, Between the Lines reminds audiences about the importance of connection through an empowering and enchanting story. The show will feature the school's prestigious Junior Ensemble Program, which is directed by BTC’s Artistic Directors of over 20 years, Jason Brantman and Fiona Santos.

Based on the novel by Jodi Picoult and Samantha van Leer, the show follows Delilah, a teenager who feels unseen in her everyday life and finds solace inside the pages of her favorite fairy tale. As Delilah begins to interact with the characters in the book, the boundary between reality and fiction blurs, inviting her to question where she truly belongs. With warmth, humor, and emotional honesty, Between the Lines, Jr. explores themes of identity, belonging, first love, and the bravery required to step out of the margins and into the center of your own story. It’s a magical, empowering tale for anyone who has ever felt changed by a book.

Between the Lines premiered at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre before making its Off-Broadway debut in 2022, where it was praised for its fresh concept, emotionally resonant storytelling, and contemporary pop-infused score.
