The Manor Club Theatre presents Peter Shaffer's AMADEUS, the fictionalized story of the rivalry between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, with Salieri, a devout composer, consumed by jealousy and hatred for Mozart's effortless genius, ultimately leading to Mozart's downfall and Salieri's self-destruction. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 24, 25, 26 at 7:00pm and Sunday, April 27 at 2:00pm. Tickets 30.00, Members, 25.00. April 26, 2025 Amadeus was written by Peter Shaffer in 1979 and premiered at the Royal National Theatre in London. The play made its Broadway debut in 1980, running for an impressive 1,181 performances. It earned five Tony Awards, including Best Play, as well as the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding New Play. In 1984, it was adapted into a film, which won eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture.About the Theatre
