Festival Ballet Providence (FBP) is pleased to announce its 42nd Season, featuring an array of compelling dance programs including Rhode Island premieres and audience favorites. The 2019-2020 season includes innovative works by Tony Award Winner Christopher Wheeldon, master choreographer George Balanchine, and breakout star Yury Yanowsky. The season comprises seven programs performed in three venues throughout Providence, RI. Subscription tickets for all performances are on sale now. BWW Review: Magical THE SECRET GARDEN at Epic Theatre

Based on the classic children's story of the same name, this stage production of THE SECRET GARDEN tells the story of the orphan Mary Lennox forced to move from India to a distant relative's Yorkshire England estate when a cholera outbreak decimates her family. This stage adaptation sticks very close to the novel, and Megan Ruggerio's capable direction keeps the story moving along at a brisk pace. Excellent performances all around make this a delightful production for all ages.

The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) opens its 35th season with the Rhode Island premiere of A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath (Hillary and Clinton, The Christians). Fred Sullivan, Jr., who directed Henrik Ibsen's classic A Doll's House at The Gamm in 2011, returns to the helm with Jeanine Kane (Hannah in The Night of the Iguana, Season 34) and Steve Kidd (Austin in True West, Season 34) reprising their roles as Nora and Torvald.
