The Wilbury Group Announces World Premiere of DESTEFANO ON THE AIR

The Wilbury Group has announced the world premiere of Destefano on the Air!, a hilarious new radio by Providence playwright Cyrus Leddy, April 12-22 at 95 Empire Street, formerly home of the Perishable Theater. 

Directed by Providence based theatre artist and longtime Wilbury Group collaborator Bobby Casey (Exit the King, We Won't Pay! We Won't Pay!), Destefano on the Air! follows "the hilarious and warped radio host and aspiring shock-jock Mischel Barry in his struggle to put on the edgiest podcast he can, with disastrous results."

"Cyrus' work as a playwright and as the driving force behind the Breathing Tube series has been challenging Providence audiences for years with how exciting and engaging great radio theatre can be," says Wilbury Group Producer Josh Short, "we're thrilled to be able to finally give this work the exposure that a play as innovative and hilarious as Destefano on the Air! deserves."
