Woodstock Arts is very excited to be the Georgia premiere of Miss You Like Hell, the new musical by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Quiara Alegría Hudes and Erin McKeown.

The show will run March 8-24 on our stage. We are thrilled to welcome the composer, Erin McKeown, for a free concert before the show on March 9th starting 6:00 PM!

Following the cross-country road-trip of an estranged mother and daughter - the mother facing deportation due to a misdemeanor many years behind her, the pair encounter a wide landscape of America and experience the true melting pot that our nation is shaping itself up to be. The show was written in 2016, but proves to earn itself relevancy time and again. Hudes in an interview with American Theatre said "I think it's a story that needs to get heard, but I hope that it's a story that becomes outdated. The show promises to be unlike much of anything seen in the Atlanta theatre scene before.

"Art has a lot of stories that must be told right now about our humanity, the truth of our culture, the meaning of life and the human soul—and that can be white, that can be black, that can be mixed, that can be Latino, but it’s about being human.” - Hudes

This production is directed by local actor/director Tyshawn Gooden (seen at Shakespeare's Tavern, Out Front, Synchronicity Theatre and more), with choreography by Courtney Locke (previous credits include Aurora, Out Front and Woodstock Arts), and music direction by theatrical newcomer Jolicia Ratliff and features an ensemble of 11 local Atlanta area-actors.
