Alliance Theatre is taking its family-friendly BEAUTIFUL BLACKBIRD LIVE! concert on tour around Atlanta this summer.
The world can feel oppressively cloudy sometimes, but bright spots that celebrate who people are without prejudice or shame can always be found. And if you're willing to sit in an outdoor tent on a rainy Saturday morning like I am, then you’re in for a lot of sunshine at Alliance Theatre’s BEAUTIFUL BLACKBIRD LIVE.
The Alliance Theatre today announced three additional guest artists as part of its previously announced Under the Tent series. In addition to its concert performances of WORKING: THE MUSICAL, BEAUTIFUL BLACKBIRD and SONGS TO GROW ON, the Alliance will provide its tent for performances by Tyrone Jackson & Friends, Sister Omelika, and The TINY Theater Company.
The Alliance Theatre today announced updates to its 2020/21 season, including a new “Under The Tent” series to provide more socially-distanced performance options. The “Under the Tent” series will include a concert staging of the Broadway hit WORKING: A MUSICAL, as well as concert-style performances of BEAUTIFUL BLACKBIRD LIVE and more.
Alliance Theatre is at 1280 Peachtree St. NE Atlanta, GA 30309, Atlanta, GA.
The Alliance Theatre is Atlanta’s national theater, expanding hearts and minds onstage and off. Founded in 1968, the Alliance Theatre is the leading producing theater in the Southeast, reaching more than 165,000 patrons annually. The Alliance delivers powerful programming that challenges adult and youth audiences to think critically and care deeply. Under the leadership of Susan V. Booth, the Jennings Hertz Artistic Director, the Alliance Theatre received the Regional Theatre Tony Award® in recognition of sustained excellence in programming, education and community engagement.
