A Love Story (With Supernatural Roadblocks) What happens when the matchmaker meets her match?
NEW YORK CITY, NY- A Love Story (With Supernatural Roadblocks) is an original full length musical written, composed and directed by Nina Osso. There will be an industry presentation at Ta-Da! Youth Theater on May 10th at 7 PM.
The show takes place in two separate worlds: on Earth as we know it, and in the whimsical Cupidverse, where matches are made and love is created. Plumeria, a smart but conceited cupid, is responsible for making Bree and Kevin, two best friends, fall in love with each other. Plumeria is used to being the best in the industry, but everything changes when Marley, a rough-around-the-edges intern, begins to gain the attention and praise Plumeria feels she deserves. Fantastical and full of fun, A Love Story examines a workplace and a friendship descending into disarray and asks how far a person (or a cupid) would go to protect their pride.
A Love Story is the first musical Osso has written, and the reading and industry presentation will be the first public showcases of her literary and compositional work. At only 17 years old, the up-and-coming artist is enthusiastic to represent the young female on the creative theatrical scene and looks forward to developing her show further with a cast of 11 fellow young actors. For further information and ticket reservations, contact Nina at ninaosso@yahoo.com, or through the contact form on her website, ninaosso.com.
