Portland State University presents Molière's Tartuffe, a sharp comedy exploring themes of deception and hypocrisy. The play follows the scheming Tartuffe, who manipulates the wealthy Orgon to gain control over his household. Directed by Christine Freije, this production showcases Molière's wit through Richard Wilbur's translation, featuring rhyming couplets that illustrate the dangers of blind trust. Tartuffe will run from February 27 to March 8, 2025, at Lincoln Performance Hall in Portland, Oregon.
