Brian Friel's Molly Sweeney tells the story of a woman blind since infancy whose husband and doctor persuade her to undergo a procedure to restore her sight, only for her to find the visible world less fulfilling than the life she knew before. Corrib's production centers live sound and music design, creating a theatrical experience that shifts focus away from visual spectacle to align with Molly's own sense of the world. Featuring actors, live musicians, and foley artists, the production is developed in collaboration with blind and low-vision artists and the Oregon Commission for the Blind.
