A magical web of interconnected stories about power, transformation, and choosing ones own path in the world. These age-old fairy tales are given a new feminist spin as women young and old tell their own stories of love, hate, honor and revenge, and passion and deception. The particular becomes universal the world is reimagined through a lens of equity.

November 08, 2021 Corrib Theatre announces a three-show season: Maz and Bricks by Eva O'Connor, The Smuggler by Ronán Noone, and Kissing the Witch by Emma Donoghue. Corrib's play selections feature internationally produced, award-winning Irish playwrights whose work resonates with our current moment. Incoming Artistic Director Justine Nakase will direct Maz and Bricks.

March 17, 2020 Corrib Theatre cancels the Northwest Premiere of Kissing the Witch, directed by Lava Alapai, and written by Emma Donoghue, an award-winner Irish writer. With a four-person ensemble cast taking on multiple roles throughout, Kissing the Witch upends five classical fairytales and flips them funny into the land of feminism. Kissing the Witch was slated to run beginning April 3 for three weeks through April 26, at New Expressive Works, 810 SE Belmont St., in Portland, Oregon.About the Theatre
