City Theatre presents an in-process reading of Neighborly: a play on two stoops, a new work by Chisa Hutchinson commissioned through the theatre's Kemp Powers Commission Fund for Black Playwrights. The play follows a teenage Harlem transplant and a middle-aged Yinzer who form an unlikely friendship in Pittsburgh's Mexican War Streets, only to find their bond tested by generations of divisiveness in the city they share. Director Monteze Freeland leads the reading with cast members Randy Kovitz and Bria Walker-Rhoze.
