Theatrikids continues its season with one of the most popular musical comedies of the stage. This third show of our season runs August 19th through 28th, 2022.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Join everyone’s favorite sponge along with the crazy cast of characters, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks and the rest of the Bikini Bottom gang as they face annihilation from an undersea volcanic eruption. What have they gotten themselves into this time? Find out in this hilarious and heart-warming musical co-conceived and by Tina Landau with songs by various artists and a book by Kyle Jarrow. It is based on the Nickelodeon animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Theatrikos continues to maintain cautious covid safety protocols. The board of directors voted that on Sunday matinees, we will have stricter safety protocols. On Sunday matinees, we will continue to do social distancing and require proof of vaccination for all audience. Concessions will also remain closed on Sunday matinees. Cast and crew are also required to show proof of vaccination.
Effective with TheatriKids performance workshop Sponge Bob SquarePants opening August 19, we will follow Broadway League’s example and no longer require masks. Although they will be strongly encouraged and theatre crew will continue to wear masks.

As o public venue, a gathering of lots of people, we take our safety responsibility to the community very seriously,” said Theatrikos Executive Director Chris Verrill. “We’re not out of this yet. But we see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to all our patrons for their patience with these
perpetually changing safety protocols.”
Performances of SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical are at Theatrikos, August 19 through 28, 2022, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. The usual opening night cake and punch reception has resumed due to relaxed covid safety protocols. Tickets can be purchased online at theatrikos.com, by calling 928 774 1662, or by visiting the theatre’s box office, which is open from noon to 6 pm Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and two hours prior to each performance.
