Strumming Satire’s Strings to the Sound of Co-Alliance
Saul Hymon & Bart Parfunkel star in their own musical, playing themselves, their own instruments, and a myriad of other characters on their path to superstardom… -ish. Following a successful staged reading in the 2024 Festival of New American Theatre, this original two-man production is ready for its world premiere, parodying the tropes of jukebox musicals like Jersey Boys, Mamma Mia, Beautiful, Ain’t Too Proud, Tina, Always…Patsy Cline, The Cher Show, and the dozen inevitable “new” bio-musicals coming soon. In a "Hello Darkness, My Old" blend of tunes and storytelling that will leave you laughing in tears, this feel-good buddy comedy celebrates the power of found family and collaboration, ingeniously crafted by a brilliantly talented duo. Will Hymon and Parfunkel survive the rollercoaster to near fame? Let’s hope they don’t break up first!
