The Bridge Initiative Launches National New Play Contest

The Bridge Initiative is accepting submissions for its second Bechdel Test Festival. Playwrights of all genders from across the U.S. are encouraged to submit short and full-length plays that satisfy the requirements of the Bechdel Test: two female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man. Preference will be given to playwrights who have not been awarded by The Bridge Initiative in the last three years.

Immortalized in both the page-turning autobiography and the hit movie starring Leonardo di Caprio and Tom Hanks, Catch Me If You Can is the high-flying musical comedy that tells the true story of con man Frank Abagnale, Jr. - a brazen young man who fooled some of the best security in the world. This delightfully entertaining show is packed full of 1960s Pan Am glamour with a book by Tony Award-winning American playwright Terrence McNally (The Full Monty, Ragtime).
