International pop singer from the Philippines Charice walked the red carpet at GLEE's Season 2 premiere party held Tuesday evening, September 7, 2010 at the Paramount Studios in Hollywood, California.

In a live webcast presented by Fox TV and Chevy, the 18-year-old singer turned television actress told the interviewer that she will be essaying the role of Sunshine Corazon.

Sunshine is an international student from the Philippines who will become "frenemies" with the show's lead star Lea Michele, who plays the role of Rachel Berry.  An early promo teaser trailer showed Charice and Lea singing "Telephone", a hit song by Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce Knowles.

GLEE's Season 2 welcomes brand new guest stars Charice, John Stamos, Carol Burnett, et al. to the show.

The new season of GLEE premieres on Tuesday, September 21, 2010  in the United States, and on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the Philippines on ETC.

Outside Hollywood, Charice is a freshman studying Communication at a Massachusetts-based online university. She wants to become an entertainment lawyer someday.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Charice began vocal lessons at the age of four and started to compete in local amateur singing contests, and singing competitions on Philippine television three years later. In 2007, videos of Charice's performances on YouTube started to attract the attention of American television show producers, which led to appearances on "Ellen" and "Oprah".

Soon afterwards, Grammy award-winning producer David Foster invited Charice to perform on his "David Foster and Friends" PBS Show in Las Vegas alongside Michael Bublé, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and Josh Groban. She also went on to perform "The Prayer" with Mr. Bocelli in Tuscany, and Ms. Dion at her Madison Square Garden show in New York City.

Her self-titled international debut album landed Top 8 on Billboard 200.

Charice's carrier single "Pyramid", a collaboration between her and R&B artist Iyaz, topped the Billboard dance club chart.
