PHILADELPHIA, PA - Queer vampires, choose-your-own-adventure, unhinged clowns, and a dance theatre piece there is so much that The Lemonade Stand’s Fringe Hub will bring throughout the month of September. Thirteen fresh, wacky, foolish, and brilliant shows take over the Skinner Studio at Plays & Players (1714 Delancey Street) for a unique, intimate performance experience.

Whether it’s a drag variety show, new takes on classic literature, the plights of being a bride, the horrors of teenage gymnastics, and of course tipsy Shakespeare, our curated lineup encourages our audiences to try something new. Inspired by the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Lemonade Stand Hub is excited to partner with Quig’s Pub and local vendors to offer special events and a place to hang out while audiences and artists mingle with one another. You will gather, laugh, cry, question, and enjoy the rich experiences the Philadelphia theatre scene has to offer.

Not only have we curated a killer lineup, but The Lemonade Stand is also proud to produce the premiere of Bog Man by Lindsey Walko, (Breaking and Entering Theatre Collective, Theater Masters, Mumuration Theatre Company, Greater Boston Stage Company, Invisible Theatre, Boston University and Columbia University). Directed by Ava Kepple (My Mother Once Read, Music Theatre Philly) and performed by Eliza Waterman (EgoPo Classic Theater, Wolfsmouth Players Company, The Strides Collective, Delaware Shakespeare Company).

In addition, The Lemonade Stand is proud to bring back Trauma Queen by Liv Shoup (IPhilly Women’s Theatre Festival, Spokane Playwrights Lab, Finalist: New York Script Awards, Semi-Finalist: Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices Competition), initially debuted in April Fools, for a special Fringe edition of our reading series Fresh Squeezed.
