Silent Sky tells the remarkable true story of female astronomer Henrietta Leavitt, who, in the early 1900s, faces restrictions at the Harvard Observatory while charting the stars alongside other women. As Henrietta grapples with her commitment to science, she also navigates family obligations and the complexities of love. Written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Marcus Giamatti, the production features Emily Walters as Henrietta Leavitt, with supporting performances from Riley Maedler, Kendall Harris, Paige Mullen, and Olivia Brown. This thought-provoking play explores themes of ambition, risk, and the human condition as it opens Temple Theaters' 2025-26 season.
