R.Evolucion Latina's new vision of one of William Shakespeare's final plays, The Tempest opened last night at Pregones Theater.

"At the turn of the century, worlds will collide in America!" The Axelrod Performing Arts Center begins its inaugural season as a professional theater with Luis Salgado's beautiful new staging of Ragtime the Musical. See the video of the Axelrod company in final rehearsals below!

Zuccotti Park, a new musical with book & lyrics by Catherine Hurd and music composed by Vatrena King about the human side of economics, will be produced by Salgado Productions at the NYC Venus/Adonis Theater Festival. Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp, an initiative of R.Evolucion Latina, successfully ended its run on Friday August 2nd. More than 200 kids, ages 7-17, gathered at the headquarters of Pearl Studio to share their experiences, learn to dance, sing and narrate their stories in creative ways and with a fascinating focus: Cultural Exchange. During the five-day camp participants took classes with some of the most experienced actors, dancers, and choreographers working on Broadway today. Check out a look back below!

R.Evolución Latina's D2GB (Dare to Go Beyond) Children's Performing Arts Camp concludes tomorrow with a very special celebration at El Museo del Barrio. R.Evolución Latina, who has been featured on NBC's Nightly News with Brian Williams in a segment called 'Making a Difference', is a collective of artists and activists committed to empowering the artistic community in order to inspire growth within the Latino Community through collaboration, productions, and educational support programs. An added focus to this year's camp is health awareness and the importance of physical activity as we address the growing concern of obesity in our Latino children. 'Through the arts, we will empower the youth to recognize the importance of leading and maintaining a healthy life' says Camp Coordinator Ali Solomon. This free camp will provide more than 150 underserved children ages 7-17 the chance to experience the arts through classes taught by NYC and international artists from the theatre, music, dance, and Latino communities. 'This camp is very inspiring and also fun... It's like a mission that we have to accomplish during this week, I'm just loving everything about it.' said Rosa Fermin one of the students.

R.Evolución Latina is sponsoring Dance Company D1 of Peru, a group of 19 dancers taken under the wing of Vania Massias, who turned down a role in Cirque du Soleil to start a dance program for 'under-served children tumbling in the streets'. Vania's selfless efforts reflect R.Evolución Latina's fundamental drive: to make a difference through the arts.
