To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Harta??s first professional collaboration, upcoming R&H Goes Pop! episodes will feature new performances from across the legendary duoa??s catalog.

On this day in 2014, the music and poetry of legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur, made its Broadway debut as Holler If Ya Hear Me celebrated its opening night at the Palace Theatre.

(Wavyy Jonez).

In June of 2014, the new Broadway musical HOLLER IF YA HEAR ME, based on the music of Tupac Shakur, opened on Broadway. Starring the spoken word artist Saul Williams, as well as Broadway veterans Tonya Pinkins (CAROLINE OR CHANGE) and Christopher Jackson (IN THE HEIGHTS), the show shuttered after just 17 previews and 38 performances.
