To a rousing ovation, the cast of the Tony Award®-winning Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen performed a curtain call tribute in honor of the patriotic song "God Bless America," which this year is celebrating its 100th Anniversary, on the eve of Mr. Berlin's 130th birthday. Dear Evan Hansen is playing on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre which was built by Mr. Berlin and his business partner Sam H. Harris and opened in 1921 to house his famed Music Box Revues.  The Shubert Organization currently owns and operates the Music Box.

Broadway favorites Santino Fontana, Heather Headley, Rebecca Luker, Norm Lewis, Beth Malone, Howard McGillin, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Laura Osnes, Taylor Trensch and more, perform as part of the celebration of the centennial of the American Theatre Wing.

Fundraising records and gender norms alike were smashed by stars of stage, screen and pop music on April 2, 2018, at this year's inclusive, dynamic and loving Broadway Backwards.

Broadway Backwards (#BroadwayBackwards) took the stage last night, April 2, 2018, at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC), currently home to the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Kinky Boots. The evening was produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits Broadway Cares and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center in New York City. 

Last month, Broadway's new Evan Hansen, Taylor Trensch, officially began his performances in the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen! Trensch took over for Noah Galvin, who most recently played Evan following original star Ben Platt's departure from the show. Performers from the beloved Off-Broadway musical BARE came together just last night to honor the show's late creator, Damon Intrabartolo, at Feinstein's/ 54 Below. Cast members from the original Los Angeles and Off-Broadway companies, as well as those from the recent revival at New World Stages, reunited to celebrate Intrabartolo, who passed away in 2013.
