Austin-based duo Pike & Sutton recently announced their new self-titled band project earlier this fall. Led by 'hometown favorites' (Austin American-Statesman) Patrice Pike and Wayne Sutton, the band has evolved out of the longtime alternative rock band Sister 7 and will release their debut full-length Heart Is A Compass in early 2020. To close out the year, they've teamed up with Blues Traveler's John Popper for a reimagined version of Otis Redding and Carla Thomas' classic 'New Year's Resolution.'

Rising alt-pop trio TWIN XL releases their infectious new single 'Messy' today available on all digital streaming platforms now via Position Records/The Orchard. The band's new single that impacts alternative radio on Tuesday, November 12. The single, which exclusively premiered yesterday on LADYGUNN Magazine, is self-produced and written by the band alongside Little Hurt (Colin Dieden of The Mowgli's). Full casting has been announced for the West End transfer of The Worst Witch, adapted for the stage by Emma Reeves from Jill Murphy's original books. The Worst Witch opens at the Vaudeville Theatre from 24 July - 8 September 2019, following a hugely successful nationwide tour.

Anton Chekhov's classic 1898 play, 'Uncle Vanya' comes to the stage at Western Connecticut State University this month. Presented by the university's Department of Theatre Arts, the show runs through October 21st. It takes place in the Studio Theatre of the Visual and Performing Arts Center on the university's Westside campus, 43 Lake Ave. Extension in Danbury. General admission is $20.

The World Music students of the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts (SOTA) have released a video tribute to Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul who recently passed away.

THE VIETNAM WAR, a new 10-part, 18-hour documentary film series directed by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, will premiere September 17, 2017, on PBS stations nationwide.
