Broadway's former Evan Hansen performed at a Disney on Broadway Concert back in 2019 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS posted the throwback performance on their YouTube page today.

Stars in the House for Ukraine, an 11+ Hour telethon of the weekly streaming show, raised $139,000 for the International Rescue Committee's humanitarian efforts for those affected by the war in Ukraine. That total is inclusive of a generous matching donation by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, which matched the first $50,000 worth of donations.

With music and lyrics by the British team of Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy, this most recent BOW from BIV demonstrates how wonderful “Play” is. Introduced by co-composer Kennedy, this arrangement by Grammy award-nominated and Tony Honoree Michael McElroy with Co- orchestration by Isaac Harlan has transformed the song into an entirely new listening experience. As videographer Nate Wind lets the viewer sneak in between BIV members playfully interacting with each other, the performance commences in a groovy “Heigh Ho Jam”. At Broadway Backwards 2018, Ethan Slater, the critically acclaimed actor in the titular role in SpongeBob SquarePants, turned a trendy Brooklyn party upside-down in an energetic performance of "The Lady is a Tramp" from Babes in Arms. The ensemble of fussy partygoers initially distanced themselves from their outsider guest before embracing the nimble Slater, lifting and flipping him in a flurry of glitter and confetti.

There's a battle happening, and this time it's not in Yorktown. The competition part of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids Easter Bonnet Competition fundraising reached a new level last night between the casts of Sunset Boulevard and Hamilton as seen in the video below. 

At Gypsy of the Year 2016, cast members from The Lion King performed a moving spoken-word piece giving voice to those marginalized by the current political climate performed by cast members Lamar Baylor, Kimberly Marable, Matthew Morgan, Brenda O'Brien and L. Steven Taylor.
