Starring Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton, Ramin Karimloo, Caroline O'Connor, and Mary Beth Peil, the musical features a book by celebrated playwright Terrence McNally and a lush, original score by Tony Award winners Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics). Tony Award-winning director Darko Tresnjak directs.

Theater Latte Da continues its season with the classic Broadway musical, Ragtime. It's the turn-of-the-century, everything is changing and anything is possible. Based on E.L. Doctorow's landmark novel, Ragtime is set in the volatile melting pot of New York City. Three distinct American stories are woven together-a determined Jewish immigrant, a daring Harlem musician, and a stifled woman of privilege united by their courage, compassion and belief in a better tomorrow. Together they confront what it means to be an American at the dawn of a new century. With a compelling book by Terrence McNally and a glorious score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, Ragtime was nominated for 13 Tony Awards and was awarded Best Book and Best Score.

Earl Carpenter, who starred in the West End and on Broadway as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and Inspector Javert in Les Miserables, and West End star Anita Louise Combe, Tessie Tura in Gypsy at the Savoy Theatre and both Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly in Chicago, head the cast of a major new actor-musician production of RAGTIME at Charing Cross Theatre. Journey to the past with some newly released footage from this summer's premiere Hartford Stage run of the new Broadway musical, Anastasia.

The Dramatists Guild Fund celebrates the 1 Year Anniversary of The Music Hall, decorated by Robert Hartwell of BroadwayWorld's Broadway Quick Change. The Music Hall is a free space in the city for writers to create and present new work. Officially opened in April 2015 during the tenure of DGF President Gretchen Cryer, The Music Hall has been a resource to 1,500 dramatists for writing groups, readings, workshops, panels, and private writing time.
