He advanced to the national competition, which culminated Monday in a performance on a Broadway stage for The Jimmy Awards in New York City. In this episode, Salinger describes one of the most profound experiences of his trip - going all the way to New York to meet one of Colorado's most successful theatrical alums: Kent Gash, Director of the New Studio on Broadway at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts (and graduate of Denver's George Washington High School). 'He gave us an amazing talk, and I recorded much of it on my phone,' Salinger said. 'I just want to listen to it again and again and write some of the things that he said down because it was so inspirational.'
