Get a first look at Syracuse Stage's production of Once, the irresistible Tony-award winning musical based on John Carney's beloved 2007 Oscar-winning film.

Renowned songwriter and Walkmen co-founder Walter Martinannounced today his new album The World At Night will release on January 31st via Ile Flottante Music. Produced by multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman (The National, Hiss Golden Messenger, The War On Drugs), the album is Martin's most richly orchestrated and grandly cinematic collection to date, as well as his most poignant. Dedicated to his dear friend and late Jonathan Fire*Eater bandmate Stewart Lupton, it balances soul-baring intimacy with sophisticated arrangements as they walk a delicate tightrope between despair and hope, faith and doubt, security and uncertainty.

A new recording is released today of the Academy Award-winning song Falling Slowly, introducing Daniel Healy as Guy and Emma Lucia as Girl. They will lead the cast of the first UK Tour of Once, launching in January 2020 following a run at Fairfield Halls, Croydon from Thursday 19 December to Saturday 11 January.

Glen Hansard returns to the U.S. next week in support of his new record, This Wild Willing and has shared a new live performance video for the song, “Leave a Light”.  This Wild Wiling garnered the best reviews of his 20+ year career with VICE calling it a “reinvention”, MOJO deeming it “an immersive, deeply satisfying work” and NPR Musicsaying, “These songs feel rawer, broader, more sweeping and emotional and expansive”. 

For The Good Ones' new album, Rwanda, You Should Be Loved, bandleader Adrien Kazigira originally composed over forty songs. Most were meditations on his now thirteen-year-old daughter, Marie-Claire, and the life-threatening tumor that has afflicted her left eye. The recording was done live without overdubs on Adrien's farm and was imbued with the passing of producer Ian Brennan's mother during the days that they were there together as well as a former founding band member recently having succumbed to his own demons.

Darlinghurst Theatre Company's production of ONCE will play at Sydney's Eternity Playhouse from 26 June - 21 July, starring Toby Francis (Kinky Boots), Stefanie Caccamo (Beautiful) and Cameron Daddo (The Sound of Music).

ONCE opened at the Olney Theatre in Baltimore on February 6th and is running through March 10, 2019.

On September 19th, the Broadway smash hit ONCE, opens at the Ivoryton Playhouse. On the streets of Dublin, an Irish musician about to give up on his dreams and a beautiful young Czech immigrant are drawn together by their shared love of music. Over the course of one fateful week, an unexpected friendship and collaboration quickly evolves into a powerful but complicated love story, underscored by the most beautiful, emotionally charged music.

Rehearsals for Theater Latte Da's Once are underway. Winner of 8 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Once features a book by Enda Walsh with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova. Theater Latte Da Artistic Director Peter Rothstein directs the production with Music Director Jason Hansen and choreography by Kelli Foster Warder. Performances begin September 12 at the Ritz Theater (345 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis). On last night's LATE NIGHT, musical guest and Oscar winner Glen Hansard performs 'Roll on Slow' off his third solo album 'Between Two Shores' out now.

The HAMILTON star and his pro partner, Lindsay Arnold, performed a contemporary dance set to 'Take Me Home' by Us the Duo, and the stunning number moved many to tears, including Jordan himself.

Over the past few years acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard has organized the "Christmas Busk" on Grafton Street in Dublin, as a simple way to gather friends and play music.

With its first national tour wrapped, beloved folk/indie blend Broadway musical ONCE will, once more, hit the road. A new national tour of the eight-time Tony winning musical will launch in January 2016 in Utica, NY, before traveling coast-to-cast, with stops in Los Angeles, Detroit and more planned. ROCK OF AGES alum Sam Cieri and Boston Conservatory student Mackenzie Lesser-Roy will lead the cast. The company just met the press and BroadwayWorld is taking you inside the special day below!
