La Jolla Playhouse has announced the presentation of Sovereignty Hymns, a commissioned work that features a video series of original songs exploring questions about reproductive liberty.

La Jolla Playhouse is presenting its world-premiere production of Bhangin' It: A Bangin' New Musical, featuring book by Mike Lew and Rehana Lew Mirza, music and lyrics by Sam Willmott, with additional music by Grammy Award nominee Deep Singh, running in the Mandell Weiss Theatre through April 17, 2022.

This afternoon, Broadway veteran Joel Hatch has played his final show with the company of the hit musical, Come From Away. A member of the original cast, Joel Hatch has been with the show since it opened on Broadway just over five years ago on March 12th, 2017. He portrayed 'Claude & others' other characters throughout the production. Gene Weygandt will begin performances in the roles on Tuesday, March 22. Gene joins the company directly from the Australia cast of Come From Away.

Diana: The Musical Original Broadway Cast Recording is now available across all streaming platforms. The CD will be available on October 1, when the production premieres on Netflix and ahead of resuming on Broadway on November 2.

Come Friday, September 10, we're all islanders again as  Apple TV+ premieres Come From Away. The live performance was filmed at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre this past May in New York City, where the Broadway production is staged. Tony-winning director Christopher Ashley tell us all about how he got the musical ready for its close-up!

With music by David Bryan, lyrics by Bryan and Joe DiPietro, and a book by DiPietro, Memphis was directed by Christopher Ashley, choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, and starred Montego Glover, Chad Kimball, Derrick Baskin, and James Monroe Iglehart. It was nominated for eight Tony Awards and won four.
