Today we rewind to 2013, for the first Broadway revival of Pippin, which played at the the Music Box Theatre for 709 performances. The beloved coming-of-age musical features a book by Roger O. Hirson, and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.

A 40th Anniversary reunion benefit concert of the 1979 hit Broadway production of They're Playing Our Song was held on Monday, February 11th at 7:30 pm at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th St.). The show starred the Broadway cast members Lucie Arnaz as 'Sonia Walsk' and Robert Klein as 'Vernon Gersch'. Check out highlights from the evening below!

The companies of Broadway's MATILDA and PIPPIN celebrated the holidays with performances at CBS' annual THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE.

The all-new production of Roger O. Hirson and Stephen Schwartz's Pippin had it's L.A. Premiere direct from Broadway at the Hollywood Pantages Theater October 22 and Broadway World TV's own red carpet Los Angeles Co-Producer and on-air Host Michael Sterling and Co-Producer Jordan Santacana were there to get up close and personal with the stars. Among those attending the opening were Martin Short, Nia Vardalos, Sean Hayes, Catherine O'Hara, Dan Bucatinsky, Jai Rodriguez, Christopher McDonald, Oscar Nunez, Bo Derek, Cloris Leachman, Patrick Cassidy, Obba Babatunde, Maisela Lusha, Kevin Chamberlin, Anne Jeffries, JoAnne Worley and Scott Hoying (Pentatonix)... to name but a few.

Stars Sasha Allen (Broadway's Hair) and Matthew James Thomas (Broadway's Pippin, Spider-Man) stopped by KPIX CBS San Francisco Bay Area News yesterday to discuss the musical.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Pippin, directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus and featuring choreography by Tony Award nominee Chet Walker in the style of Bob Fosse and circus creation by Gypsy Snider, is now playing at the Music Box Theatre. Today in 1999, Fosse opened at the Broadhurst THeatre, where it ran for 1093 performances. Fosse is a three-act musical revue showcasing the choreography of Bob Fosse. The original Broadway production, conceived and directed by Richard Maltby, Jr. and Ann Reinking was choreographed by Reinking and Chet Walker. In 2002, Fosse, featuring Reinking and Ben Vereen, was aired as part of the Great Performances series on PBS television. A London production opened at the West End Prince of Wales Theatre on February 8, 2000 and closed January 6, 2001. The musical did not recreate the musical numbers as originally presented but instead had primarily black-and-white costumes (including the all-important hats), set against a simple setting.
