This year's Tony nominees transported us with the magic of theatre, and we're saluting their work by taking a closer look at their extraordinary accomplishments. Today we're studying up on Eddie Perfect!

Atticus Finch might be the voice we remember from To Kill a Mockingbird- the classic story that Aaron Sorkin brought to Broadway this season- but Adam Guettel is the man who made Mockingbird sing. The Broadway composer traded musical theatre for drama this season as he created the score for the critically-praised hit. Below, Guettel tells us all about how he found the sound of the play, and shares an exclusive clip from the To Kill a Mockingbird score.

Dove Cameron will make her LA Opera debut in The Light in the Piazza, running from October 12 through 20, 2019, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. She will play the role of Clara Johnson, a young woman with a long-hidden secret that threatens her hopes of finding true love during a summer vacation through Italy. Opera superstar Renee Fleming will portray her mother, Margaret Johnson.

Previews are currently underway at the Shubert Theatre for the Broadway production of Harper Lee's To Kill A Mockingbird, a new play by Aaron Sorkin, starring Jeff Daniels as Atticus Finch. Last night, the Dramatists Guild Fund hosted their Annual Gala at the Edison Ballroom in New York. This year's event honored legendary playwrights, composers, and lyricists who have greatly impacted the American theater.
