Elliot Shoenman's A HEAP OF LIVIN' to Premiere at Odyssey Theatre, 2/8

Playwright, and Emmy Award winner, Elliot Shoenman will return to the Odyssey Theatre with his newest play A Heap Of Livin', which includes original music by David Shire (Oscar/Grammy Award, multiple Tony/Emmy noms). Elliot's work, the Ovation Award nominated AfterMath, starring Annie Potts, played to sold-out houses at the Odyssey last season, launched by the Inkwell Theater.

MILK Cinematographer Harris Savides Dies at 55

Acclaimed cinematographer Harris Savides, who worked on such films as MILK and ZODIAC, has died at the age of 55. The cause of his death is not yet known.

Fort Worth Opera Presents 2013 New Works Showcase FRONTIERS, 5/6-11

Fort Worth Opera revealed today the names of the composers whose works have been selected for participation in the first season of the company's exciting, annual new works program, Frontiers, making its debut May 6 - 11, 2013. The showcase will present eight unpublished works by composers from the Americas during the last week of the 2013 Opera Festival in the McDavid Studio across from Bass Hall in downtown Fort Worth.

KILLERS will run today, September 28 through November 3, 2012 at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, 107 Suffolk Street between Rivington and Delancey on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

Focus Features Names Louis Phillips Executive VP

Louis Phillips has joined Focus Features as the worldwide film company's executive vice president, physical production. Focus president Andrew Karpen, to whom Mr. Phillips reports, made the announcement today.
