CHICKEN & BISCUITS officially opens on October 10, at the Circle in the Square Theatre. Meet the cast here and learn more about who is starring in this new play!

The Foundation for New American Musicals presents the 2021 FNAM All-star Benefit and Fundraiser. The evening will honor Tony/Grammy/Emmy Award-winner Marc Shaiman (Hairspray and Mary Poppins Returns), who will receive FNAM's first Inspire Award; and FNAM Founding-member Robert Klein, who will receive the first Founders' Award.

The Richmond County Orchestra (RCO) is celebrating its 23rd season Saturday, October 16, 8 p.m. as  RCO's Maestro Alan Aurelia  conducts a full orchestra through a smorgasbord of musical treats by Bach, Barber, The Beatles, Ginastera, Mascagni, Amy Winehouse and a world premier of 'Coral Bells and Clover' by Staten Island resident composer Valeda Zaage Bell.

Miami MoCAAD will celebrate Hispanic Heritage and Arts + Humanities month through a series of virtual conversations focusing on Afro-Latinx histories and contributions within the African Diaspora. Miami MoCAAD and Orlando Addison, Afro-Latinx author, and advocate, will collaborate on a conversation series aimed at community dialogue revealing complexities, the related historical context, contributions, and art of the Afro-Latinx community.

The new Broadway comedy that audiences are eating up, Douglas Lyons’ CHICKEN & BISCUITS, has announced that global superstars and entrepreneurs Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas have joined the producing team of the show, which is currently in previews at Circle in the Square Theatre.

Tacoma Little Theatre continues its 103rd Season, “The Start of Something New”, with Clue: On Stage! Based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn.  Clue: On Stage is directed by Jennifer York (Holmes for the Holidays).   

LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT opened the first show of their 2021-2022 season, the West Coast premiere of the madcap murder mystery, CLUE.

Based on the well-known board game distributed in North America by Parker Brothers (which was later folded into toy and game manufacturer Hasbro) that itself inspired a cult 1985 Paramount Pictures film of the same name written and directed by Jonathan Lynn, CLUE--the stage play--features the same infamous names and, yes, weapons and rooms synonymous with the classic whodunnit game. Writer Sandy Rustin, along with additional writers Hunter Foster and Eric Price, have revived the same colorful characters and personalities of the film and have transposed them into a madcap, 90-minute puzzle that's mostly silly and engagingly fun. The comedy's West Coast Premiere production continues at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts through October 17, 2021.

The 17-minute single features Kimberlé Crenshaw, Janelle Monáe, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Chlöe x Halle, Tierra Whack, Isis V., Zoë Kravitz, Brittany Howard, Asiahn, Mj Rodriguez, Jovian Zayne, Angela Rye, Nikole Hannah-Jones, Brittany Packnett Cunningham and Alicia Garza.

The special will guest star Darren Criss, John Stamos, Taraji P. Henson, Ed Asner, Danny Trejo, Will Arnett, and more alongside the Muppets.

In celebration of moving into the theater & the 32 Broadway debuts taking place on and off stage, the company of CHICKEN & BISCUITS threw a picnic outside Circle In The Square Theatre with chicken and biscuits from Field Trip & Cheryl’s Global Soul.
