Entertainment One (eOne) announced today it has acquired the international distribution rights to France 2's highly anticipated crime drama “La Garconne,” from Paris-based, International Emmy-nominated production company, Mother Production and its co-producer Gedesel. The deal, which marks eOne's first French-language acquisition, was brokered by Noel Hedges, eOne's EVP, Acquisitions, International Distribution.

From September 12, 2019, through February 23, 2020, the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) will present a major retrospective of the iconic American fashion designer Anna Sui. Opening during New York Fashion Week, the exhibition features seventy-five looks from the designer's archive-from the groundbreaking inaugural fashion show of 1991 to her Spring 2019 collection-and illuminates Sui's creative process and influences that contribute to her signature aesthetic sensibility.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 842 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. The 2019 class is 50% women, 29% people of color, and represents 59 countries. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2019.

Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced the recent acquisition of four new documentaries including Daughters of the Sexual Revolution: The Untold Story of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the behind-the-scenes story of how the original Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders became a controversial pop culture phenomenon at the height of the Sexual Revolution.
