Clubbed Thumb has announced the complete line-up for the 25th annual SUMMERWORKS, its festival of new plays. SUMMERWORKS will run May 15 - July 1, 2020 at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street) in Manhattan and will feature productions of three new plays: SPINDLE SHUTTLE NEEDLE by Gab Reisman and directed by Tamilla Woodard; BODIES THEY RITUAL by Angela Hanks and directed by Knud Adams; and THE WOMAN'S PARTY by Rinne Groff and directed by Tara Ahmadinijad.

Leah Ryan's Fund For Emerging Women Writers celebrates ten years of awarding it's prize to women playwrights with 10 X 10: An Evening of 10 Minute Plays Celebrating Ten Years of Winners. Magic Theatre (Loretta Greco, Artistic Director and Kevin Nelson, Interim Managing Director) announced today that the Company's 2020 Gala Fundraiser, Magic Masquerade: Spring Forward, will be held at Gallery 308 (Fort Mason Center, Landmark Building A, 2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94123) on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces that Victoria Murray Baatin, a respected administrator and stage director, will serve as the Center's first Director of Social Impact, effective March 2, 2020. Baatin will work across the Center, and side by side with Artistic Director and Vice President of Social Impact Marc Bamuthi Joseph, to develop and implement strategies and projects that positively influence creative communities locally and nationally.

The Episcopal Actors' Guild (EAG) has announced that the Barbour Playwrights Award will be back for its thirteenth year in March. This festival celebrating new work for the theatre will feature readings of three new plays nominated by this year's partnering company, Leviathan Lab. One of the three playwright finalists will be awarded a prize of $500.
