Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere production of The Far Country, an Atlantic commissioned play by Guggenheim fellow Lloyd Suh, directed by Obie Award winner Eric Ting.

The Workers Circle will honor Tony and Emmy Award-nominated actress, singer, and activist Jessica Hecht with the Workers Circle Activism Award at the organization's Annual Benefit on December 5, 2022. The evening will also pay tribute to Jessica's late grandmother, Rose Hecht, a lifelong Workers Circle member and activist who introduced Jessica to the organization when she was a child.

Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for The Sound of Music, directed by Mark S. Hoebee. The production will feature Ashley Blanchet (Paper Mill’s Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Broadway’s Waitress) as Maria Rainer, and Graham Rowat (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, Sunset Boulevard) as Captain Georg von Trapp.

The Berkshire Theatre Critics Association has announced the nominees for the 6th Berkshire Theatre Awards, known colloquially as The Berkies. This year’s awards recognize shows that opened in the greater Berkshire region between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022.

Tony Award-winning Broadway veteran John Rubinstein performs in his first one-man show Eisenhower: This Piece of Ground at Theatre West opening October 22, 2022. Williamstown Theatre Festival's 2022 WTF Gala in New York City will be held at City Winery on Monday, November 7, 2022. The evening will mark the return of the Late-Night Cabaret, a beloved tradition at the Festival.
