SLEEPLESS Musical Will Use New Fast COVID-19 Test Backstage

SLEEPLESS, which will begin socially distanced indoor performances at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre on 25 August, will begin using a new accurate COVID-19 test on cast, musicians, crew and theatre staff on a daily basis during rehearsals and during the run of the show. ests results will be sent directly to crew, cast and staff phones via a secure app within an hour of a swab being taken.

SLEEPLESS, A MUSICAL ROMANCE To Open With Social Distancing This Summer

SLEEPLESS, A Musical Romance, based on the original screenplay Sleepless in Seattle, will premiere at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, London on Tuesday 1 September 2020, with previews from 25 August. The limited season will run until Sunday 27 September 2020.  Performances will begin pending Government guidance.  Audiences will be socially distanced and the producers and venue will follow COVID-secure guidelines for cast, crew and audiences.

Carry On Costumes and SLEEPLESS Producers Fund Fabric To Make NHS Scrubs

Sue Simmerling, owner of costume design company Carry on Costumes, is doing her bit to help the NHS in its battle against COVID-19. Sue was contacted by fellow designer Dulcie Scott, who started the crowdfunding group 'Helping Dress Medics'. The group's aim is to purchase fabrics that are then made into scrubs for the NHS medics dealing with the virus in hospitals.

BIG the Musical first premiered on Broadway in 1996 and closed after just six months. It had its UK & Ireland premiere in Plymouth in 2016, shortly followed by a stint in Dublin - both starring Jay McGuiness as Josh, who reprises the role for this West End production.

FAUSTUS: THAT DAMNED WOMAN Comes to Lyric Hammersmith Theatre and Birmingham Repertory Theatre

Headlong and the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre in association with Birmingham Repertory Theatre today announced Faustus: That Damned Woman a new play from award-winning playwright and theatre maker Chris Bush (Standing at the Sky's Edge) which will premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre in January 2020 and at Birmingham Repertory Theatre in February 2020 before touring the UK.

Casting Announced For WHITE PEARL at the Royal Court

Kae Alexander, Farzana Dua Elahe, Arty Froushan, Katie Leung, Kanako Nakano, Minhee Yeo, Momo Yeung have been cast in the world premiere of White Pearl, written by Anchuli Felicia King and directed by Nana Dakin. With design by Moi Tran, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, video design by Ian William Galloway and composition and sound design by Nicola Chang.

Tchaikovsky's EUGENE ONEGIN Comes to Great Performances at the Met

Anna Netrebko reprises one of her most acclaimed roles as Tatiana, the naive heroine of Tchaikovsky's opera, adapted from Pushkin's classic verse novel. Peter Mattei stars as the title character, who rejects Tatiana's love until it's too late. Eugene Onegin airs on Great Performances at the Met Sunday, August 13 at 12 p.m. on PBS (check local listings). (In New York, THIRTEEN will air the opera at 12:30 p.m.)

Get Tickets Online This Friday for Sold-Out MOSQUITOES at the National Theatre

MOSQUITOES by Lucy Kirkwood is sold out for the entire run in the Dorfman Theatre. This Friday 14 July is the first opportunity to book £20 tickets through Friday Rush for the following weeks' performances. Previews from 18 July, press night 25 July, final performance 28 September.

World Premiere of SLEEPLESS The Musical Has Been Postponed

Due to an illness within the producer's family and overwhelming unexpected circumstances, SLEEPLESS The Musical has been postponed.  The producer hopes to have further news of the future of the production next year.
