The summer season has started with another 'in Concert' theatrical experience at a surprising location, somewhere in the Netherlands. This time: Aida in Concert at the Autotron. Located at the south of Netherlands, in Den Bosch, the scenic environment sets the scene for the tragic love story of Aida.

Ab 3. April wird Franziska Schuster im Stage Metronom Theater in Oberhausen die Rolle der Sloane ubernehmen. Sie folgt damit Musical-Star Willemijn Verkaik, die am 31. Marz zum vorerst letzten Mal als Sloane auf der Buhne stand und sich jetzt neuen Projekten widmen wird.

Willemijn Verkaik speelt de rol van Amneris. Na twee uitverkochte edities van Elisabeth in Concert in 2017 en 2018 geeft Stage Entertainment deze zomer aan deze traditie een vervolg met Aida in Concert. Net als bij Elisabeth in Concert zullen de bezoekers van het musicalconcert dezelfde festival-sfeer op en rondom het terrein ervaren. Met de fantastische muziek van Elton John, een top cast en een 14-koppig orkest, beleeft het publiek een onvergetelijke avond uit in de open lucht. Freek Bartels verheugt zich op de rol. 'Het is een prachtig en ontroerend liefdesverhaal met geweldige songs. Ik ben blij dat deze voorstelling, achttien jaar na de musical-premiere, weer in Nederland te horen is.' Wie de rol van Aida gaat spelen, wordt later bekend.

After playing Raoul in Phantom of the Opera in Stockholm and Tony in West Side Story in Malmo, it seems like the Swedish Musical star Anton Zetterholm will leave Sweden next year again in order to work abroad for some time. It was just announced that he will play Joey, one of the lead roles in Paramour in Hamburg in 2019 and now it been announced that he will also be one of the singers at Disney's Broadway Hits at Royal Albert Hall the 1-2 of March 2019.

GHOST in Berlin's historic Theater des Westens, has almost every element needed to be a great evening of musical theater. The only thing missing in this musical is the music. The set, video and lighting design (Hans Kudlich and Michael Grundner, respectively) are nothing short of spectacular. The „ghostly" stage effects (designed by Nils Bennett) are surprisingly good and a few times, awe-inspiring. The script (in a very good German translation by Ruth Deny) was written by Bruce Joel Rubin, who was responsible for the screenplay of the 1990 film as well.
