Red Bull Theater Seeking Six Works for 2017 Short New Play Festival

Red Bull Theater today announced that their seventh annual festival of 10-minute plays of heightened language and classic themes will feature two brand new commissions from Dael Orlandersmith and Arthur Kopit, alongside six brand new plays chosen from hundreds of submissions from playwrights across the country.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) continues its 2016-17 Season with the absolutely off-the-wall "Women in Jeopardy!". The riotous comedy follows Mary and Jo, two middle-aged women who jump to the rescue when their best friend Liz falls for a creepy (and potentially murderous) dentist. MRT Artistic Director Sean Daniels, who helmed the 2015 world premiere at Geva Theatre Center in Rochester, NY, returns to direct.

Greenhouse Ensemble managing director, Reanna Armellino and artistic director, Hazen Cuyler have announced the dates and times for its Fall production, 'The House of Yes' a comedy by Wendy MacLeod.'It's the kind of play that we passed around to the company members and everyone just laughed and laughed, said Cuyler, who also directs. 'People were actually laughing out loud,' added Armellino, 'So the decision was easy.'
